Position Summary
AVFilm seeks an experienced Office Manager responsible for providing a wide range of office management and support to the organization including monitoring phone and email lines, scheduling/managing calendar, making/confirming meeting arrangements, committee and Board administrative support, editing and proofreading proposals, and writing correspondence. Must be self-managed. Must be numbers oriented and be creative with project work. Must be open to not only being an office manager but also supporting the Executive Director with calendaring, expense reports, etc. Must be resourceful, an independent thinker, and self sufficient as well as self-motivated.

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Benefits & Wages
Role starts at $25 per hour for 20 hours a week. Benefits include full health, vision, and dental coverage, paid sick leave, accrued paid time off, cell phone reimbursement, and use of company laptop, among others.
Schedule & Location
Flexible work schedule and remote work opportunity to start. In time, the Office Manager will eventually report to an office setting with most hours occurring between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

AVFilm is in search of Teaching Artists to add to our roster! AVFilm offers in-school and after-school filmmaking classes to students in Sonoma County. Our program is growing, and we are looking for additional instructors to help deliver our mission of providing free and low-cost media arts courses to students in K-12th grades. We seek instructors with teaching/youth management experience able/curious/willing to implement our existing curricula. Bonus points for expertise in one of the following fields: filmmaking, production, writing, acting, photography, animation, or digital audio experience. Though classes follow pre-designed curricula, we are open to collaboration and new ideas. Some scheduling flexibility is necessary as we serve multiple schools and bell schedules. Professionals who can teach skills-training start at $35/per hour, and teachers with credentials start at $55/hour.

AVFilm is hiring event staff for our 2022 Outdoor Movie Series! We are in search of crew members to transport, set up, and operate our outdoor screening equipment. Event crew and tech lead positions are available. Crew positions start at $25/hour; tech lead pays $35/hour (also requires experience with equipment, operations, and management). Each event averages five hours. Depending on our booking schedule, events occur minimally once a month up to weekly (mostly Fridays and Saturdays). Crew and tech lead positions are “as needed” jobs, which will run from April through October. Bonus points for people interested in tech and cinema.
