In 2021, AVFilm convened a team of 18-29 year olds to dive into the world of visual media made for the internet. We invited them to sift through TikTok, Vimeo, YouTube and beyond, searching for bite-sized cinematic gems. We also invited filmmakers to submit New Media micro short films for consideration in AVFest. Our team was then invited to dream up an event to showcase this work. This interactive program is the product of dozens of hours of collaboration, appropriately done via Zoom meetings. We invite you to experience more than 25 new media micro short films in a variety of formats. We’ll be watching on smart phones, iPads, and a big screen; in headphones and in stereo.
