Women of Slender Means tells the stories of five of the 300 women living at the YWCA Brooklyn. Their stories, told with grace and humor, reveal multidimensional lives of women often ignored by the media, as well as overlooked perspectives on the history of the city itself: courageous tales of migration, segregation, economic inequality and perseverance. Paired with short films: Dreams and Stars, The Best Time, and FINDING ELIJAH. TAGS: BIPOC, Women-led/centered, Youth-appropriate
